Citi Bank is an auxiliary of U.S banking Financial Services Multinational Citigroup. Citibank was founded in 1812 as the City Bank of New York and later it become first National City Bank of New York. Citibank jumped into credit card industry in India between 1990 and 1995, becoming the prime issuers in the country. Few years ago, Citibank announced that it would be exiting the retail banking business in 13 nations including India. However, the bank assured it would continue serve customers just as it had been ever since. The bank also promises that it would not shutdown its operations in India, it would rather look for potential buyer to sell it off in the country.

As far as the credit cards are concerned, they have just 8 credit cards in their portfolio, it is one of the biggest issuers in India.  According to a recent report, as of November 2022, the bank has 24 lakh active credit cards. If we talk about the market share then it has just less than 4%. Here are some popular Citibank credit cards.
